To be succinct, I appreciated the thoughts expressed. But very, very few of the respondents answered the question. This is a valid question which, IMO, is pertinent to be discussed in r.a.m.e.
MDF got a lot of public hand-wringing for asking, however. So I will answer the question. I haven't seen "Waterpower" or "Forced Entry", about both of which I have heard and read. They may be be more graphic. "Expensive Taste" [1978] is most assuredly, one of the more graphic explicit rape movies. Amazingly enough, in the mid-1980's, the 'cable version' of it was shown as an "after hours" movie on ON-{subscription}TV. Even in this form, it pushed the envelope.
It was lensed by a female director; not a man using a woman's name, Jennifer Ray.
If you haven't seen the film, then I can write that _nothing will prepare you for the first rape scene_. The exposition of the first scene, where we have a pleasant, albeit voyeuristic shower scene (Elaine Wells: completely nude-but not explicit; she doesn't pay special attention to soaping up her genitalia), provide the backbone to the stunning, shattering second scene, where her date (& her), at his apartment, is invaded by a pack of rapists. One of the rapists, whose gender is not as yet identified (They all wear army-surplus camoflage), unzips the man's (Joey Silvera) pants and begins sucking his cock. Only later is it revealed that the pack consists of two men and one woman, and that the woman (Eileen Welles) is the one sucking J. Silvera's cock.
The woman pleads for mercy, admitting she is a virgin. This seems to be the wrong thing to state to the men, however. [We learn later they've done this before, but she is their first virgin.] They decide to give her 'special' attention. Her matching peach colored bra and panties are cut off. Ken Scudder & John Leslie {!} are the men. K. Scudder is the one who gets her first.
The cinematography is superb to the point of disgusting. The cameras are well positioned. The lighting is brilliant from all angles. The music on the soundtrack changes appropriately as E. Wells is eaten out and then is initially penetrated (missionary) on the floor. We get a screen-filling close-up from the rear, as K. Scudder's cock is _shown_ to be bending and flexing to penetrate her. She could not be a virgin in real life, but this is an excellent [is there an adjective which can better describe this without implying approval?] impersonation. This is intercut with a medium close-up from the front, where the cock-bending activity is still visible. The only thing missing from the scene is some blood eminating from her genitalia.
As she is being missionarily penetrated, John Leslie has his knees on her akimboed arms, having her suck his cock. In the cable version, the camera shooting from the front shows the belly-bumping, partially obscured by K. Scudder's T-Shirt. The cable version even shows the cumshot{!}, in a very, very tight close-up. The _shadow_ of K. Scudder's cock is shown, and we see the semen spurt out.
The scene continues with J. Leslie then forcing her to do a two-way (no anal, no DP). He swives her doggie and compels her to suck J. Silvera. He comes on her butt. J. Silvera is sucked until, as he is about to come, Elaine Welles holds Eileen Wells' head in position as she jerks off onto her face. She then rubs J. Silvera's cock off on Eileen Wells' face.
The scene fades to black with the rapists laughing maniacally in the background. The next scene has J. Silvera & Eileen Wells deciding to not report the incident (they come to this decision mutually). It is the _next_ scene when we learn that J. Silvera is part of this pack.
There are more non-consensual scenes in "Expensive Taste", including one where the prostitute hired by the moonlighting police detective is briefly DP'd by the pack of rapists. (In this scene, she is blindfolded too.)
I bought this film from the front counter at the Admiral Theater in Chicago in probably 1988. It was less than $20. It also has some trailers from other VCX pictures preceding "Expensive Taste".
The only place you will find this movie now is likely to be _Alpha Blue Archives_ in Oakland, CA.
In summary, "Expensive Taste" is a daunting, daring piece of movie-making. It has a moral ending (The pack are apprehended.: C.V. "Waterpower" where Jamie Gillis, the protagonist, escapes justice.). But its glaring scenes of non-consensual sexual activity will leave scars on your psychT. I have shown some of my hardcore films to close friends, all male and heterosexual, but I have never displayed this one. I still do not know if they would be ready for it.
But for all the celebration occurring on the internet over the voiding of the Congressional Decency Act, it riles me that filmmakers' First Amendment rights to explictly portray actions like this in front of a camera are _still_ being restricted.
